Ancient Legends Come to Life as the Quest Continues
The Demons of Drey, Book II of Seeker's Quest

Author: Trish Reynolds [a Witchvox Sponsor]

Publisher: Dubsar House Publishing

Category: Fiction/Fantasy Level: All
In Pretava tales were told of the fearsome Demons, legendary warriors from far away lands at the ends of the world, though no one had seen one in many years. While small in stature, it was said that they fought like creatures mad with blood lust, and few indeed had ever escaped their evil.
No one had been brave enough or foolish enough to sail around the Devils Horn to the western continent in living memory. But now, blown hopelessly off course by the storm of magic, The Triumph and her travellers have no choice. The Gayzar’s currents are pulling them directly to the forbidding shores of Drey.
But is everyone an enemy?
Has their search for an explanation of the mysterious fate of the Elves come to an ignominious end? Or are there allies - even friends among the Demons?
Book II of Seeker’s Quest A thrilling new series from the author of The Doctor and the Witch
Author's Notes: Budd Lake author Trish Reynolds has written a series that is bound to appeal to those ‘grown-ups’ hooked on their kid’s fantasy. But unlike the Potter books, The Seeker’s Quest series was written with the adult reader in mind.
“It was Tolkien and Lewis who inspired me when I was growing up, ” she said. “In fact I credit the ideals and concepts I discovered in the pages of The Lord of the Rings with getting me through the most difficult periods in my life.” Reynolds went on to explain, “But as a young girl I really missed the strong female archetype. Neither Tolkien nor Lewis nor any of the other great fantasy pioneers gave us much in the way of women with strong leadership characteristics. I wanted to challenge that paradigm. I envisioned developing a sort of ‘female Gandalf’ while at the same time offering a more balanced interpretation of the archetypical hero’s tale.”
Reynolds is also the author of the acclaimed series of paranormal romances “The Doctor and the Witch: Book I, A Question of Balance and Book II, A Matter of Perspective”. Both of these titles were presented at the London Book Fair in March of 2005. Reynolds is a working journalist and editor of the Mount Olive/Netcong and Hackettstown Weeklies.
