Murder Under A Mystic Moon (Chintz 'n China Series Book 4)
Author: Yasmine Galenorn
Publisher: Berkley Prime Crime
Category: Paranormal Mystery Level: All
With her teenaged daughter's birthday on the horizon and the Early Autumn Breeze Celebration in full swing, Emerald has her hands full with party preparations and teashop specials. But a request from her friend Jimbo has her using her abilities to look into the disappearance of his friend. In the woods surrounding the Klickavail Valley enclave, Emerald senses a strange energy manifesting itself-before literally stumbling across the body of Jimbo's friend. While the police are willing to blame the death on a cougar attack, Emerald knows there's something else wandering the forest-something that resembles the Klakatat monster of legend, but may actually be a monster of a more human kind.
Follow Emerald O'Brien's continuing adventures, as the town witch of Chiqetaw takes on creatures of legend and lore, as well as fending off mundane murderers.
About the Series:
You aren't in Pleasantville anymore....
The Chintz 'n China Mystery Series is not your typical mystery series, being part suspense, part humor, and part cozy. Follow the exploits of Emerald O'Brien, who is both tea and china shop owner, and psychic-tarot-reader who lives in the small (fictional) town of Chiqetaw, Washington, with her two children and four cats. She's used to hanging out with ghosts and other supernatural beasties, but doesn't particularly want them bothering her family. Along with her best friends Murray--a cop, and Harlow--an ex-supermodel, Emerald finds herself embroiled in murder, mystery and mayhem that comes at her from both the 'mundane world' and the supernatural side of life (and death) .
As Linda, owner of Whodunit Books (a charming mystery shop at the corner of 4th & Franklin in Olympia WA) put it, "They're cozies with teeth."
