Long ago, our ancestors knew that the Gods spoke by way of the stars. They still do. As I met Frigga and the twelve who are called her Handmaidens, I found that each embodied the energy of one of the signs in Astrology.
After walking with the Thirteen for a year and a day, my husband and I hosted a gifting in our home and invited our neighbors. The Goddess-Handmaiden we honored that day was Gefjon. Myth has it that Gefjon was given a gift by a king who thought her only a beggar. But as Goddess and Witch, she took that small offer and made of it a homeland for herself and those who came after.
I can look into my own birthchart and see why Gefjon and her gift lit up for me that day and through their charts, I can see why she highlighted the moment for many of our neighbors.
Without creating a whole new religon in the pages of The Spindle Hearth, I give enough for you to take note of your own "Goddess message" and see what She's saying to you. Your message from Goddess is like no other. Theirs won't fit you -- each path is unique.
