A Guide to Shiffting Consciousness to the Aetheric World

The Mentalist's Handbook

Author: Clint Marsh

Publisher: Weiser Books

Category: Metaphysics   Level: All

The Mentalist’s Handbook
An Explorer’s Guide to Astral, Spirit, and Psychic Worlds
Clint Marsh
Foreword and Illustrations by Jeff Hoke,
author of The Museum of Lost Wonder

There is a world that mirrors our own. Everything in this world is made of substance finer than air, finer than light, finer than thought itself – the aether, and in the aether there are inner sensations such as ideas and feelings that are as tangible as anything in the material world. In The Mentalist’s Handbook (Weiser Books, June 2008) , Clint Marsh, offers step-by-step exercises, detailed and beautifully written explanations and definitions, and gorgeous black and white illustrations by award-winning artist Jeff Hoke. All of this serves to make the book a user-friendly guide into shifting the reader’s everyday consciousness to the aetheric world. Whether this brings about psychic phenomena or just an appreciation for the interconnected minutia of life, you can’t help but be changed by the experience.

Inspired by esoteric, occult, and magic books published over the last 150 years, Marsh has aspired to create something of singular importance in the tradition of classic occult manuals. Both practical and whimsical, and complete with visual aids, this field guide to the paranormal will appeal to students of the New Age, esoteric scholars, readers of post-modern and magical-realism, angel, ghost and fairy enthusiasts, comic and graphica fans, and artists alike.

From the book:
Exercise 1. Grounding the Aetheric Body
Stand with your feet apart at shoulder's width. Let your arms rest at your sides. Spread your fingers and face your palms out. Imagine energy radiating from the soles of your feet. Visualize a sharp sphere of light around each of the soles of your feet, and a lesser glow on the floor or ground around them. This energy is the part of your aetheric body that lives closest to the material world, grounding you in it. As long as you can visualize this strong energy being emitted from the soles of your feet, you will remain grounded in the material world and should have no fear of being lost in the aether.
