The Collected Magickal Essays of Rev. E. M. Camarena
Author: Rev. E. M. Camarena
Publisher: Magick Works Books
Category: Nonfiction Essays on the Occult Level: All
When a tree falls in the forest, and nobody is there to listen, does it make a sound? Amazingly, NO! It makes no sound at all. Find the explanation for this paradox in Rev. E. M. Camarenaís entertaining essays on the Esoteric Arts. A working Esoteric Practitioner, Rev. Camarena pulls back the Shroud of Secrecy with a set of clear, often humorous, essays on Practical Magick. While much literature in the field is intentionally obscure, Rev. Camarena cuts to the heart of each subject he addresses with plain talk about how the world of Practical Magick operates. Subjects investigated include Prayer, The Tarot, The Middle Pillar Technique, Will Power, The Bible, Incense, Oils, Happiness, Talismans, Amulets, Black Magick - even Life After Death! Each book includes a FREE GIFT! This groundbreaking volume is a must-have for anyone interested in Magick. Handy Pocket Size Edition!
Here's some of what folks are saying about "The Collected Magickal Essays of Rev. E. M. Camarena":
"Although Iíve read hundreds of books of occult lore, I have to say this book is a unique and treasured addition to my library.
"For me, a good book contains a few useful nuggets to try out, or a new perspective on practice. Perhaps it inspires the imagination or lifts the spirit. Or sometimes a good book may just provide a reminder of something important thatís been forgotten. This book does all of those things. Plus it made me laugh!
"Unlike most writers on the topic, Rev. Camarenaís style is clear and to the point, and his good-hearted nature shines though in every chapter. The result is a book thatís small, yet chockfull of useful information. Itís like encountering one of those books from the 1930s by Lewis de Claremont or Henri Gamache. This book contains a recipe for Holy Water, tables of correspondences, words of power, secrets of life, plus a free gift! The Collected Magickal Essays of Rev. E.M. Camarena truly has something to offer for every reader."
Church of Good Luck
"I just finished reading your book. How refreshing it is to have someone explain the path to Enlightenment without the artsy-fartsy bulls--t. Itís wonderful that you speak to the reader directly and give us credit for intelligence and a sense of humor. Importantly, what should also be noted is your courageous offering to be willing to learn from the reader as well. Iíve been working on my Self-Realization for over three decades now and have pretty much heard it all. What you present is 'right on, ' practical how-to instruction to 'seeing' what is really real - the value of the Soul as compared to temporal attainment. My best wishes for the continued success of your book and I'll be integrating the Middle Pillar Technique with my morning exercises and meditation" Ė- Edward S.
"This tightly wrapped volume of essays draws into scope everything you might expect in a book dedicated to western esoteric studies -- the occult, rituals, spells, tarot, talismans, black magic, religion, the Tree of Life, as well as a few good pointers of what to do and what is wise not to do. The author illustrates by example the results of his own magical workings which range from sheerly astonishing, to the hilarious. And, I mean to say so funny that you can't stop laughing and when you do, you want to call your friends and tell them about it! Startled, laughing, and then whispering 'wow' to yourself, you hurry to turn the next page for the next surprise.
"As he explains how beautifully Magick fits into our daily lives, it seems that he's walking along next to you, showing you the ropes, the landscapes, scenery and shortcuts in a style so familiar you'll feel that he's from your own hometown, taking the uncertainty out of the uncommon.
"The book is filled with treats reminiscent of an earlier time, I will not reveal these goodies, but will suggest that the author has a formidable knowledge of language, he is a master of words and perhaps the biggest literary surprise will be found at the end of the book, but in truth, the whole book reads like a magical Fourth of July fireworks display on paper....
"I feel that Rev. Camarena has distinguished himself by his humanitarian nature. By offering so much to anyone willing to read this book, I wonder if he is the type of person who will not move forward unless he is assisting others to progress as well? I do not know the author, but I did ask a question of him via his website which answer was of the kind making me curious to read his book. I'm glad I did, it is well worth its price and it will travel along with me on my journey as well."

Author's Notes: I read Tarot - for more years than I care to think about! - make incense, blend oils, construct little Magickal gadgets, work Magick Rituals, execute Spells and help folks with spiritual advice, non-denominational advice, that is. I believe that many ways and many paths exist. Believe? Hell, I know it! In my judgment, whomever it was who first said "there are two sides to every story" severely miscalculated. There's thousands of sides to every story and for me that helps make life so awfully damned exciting.
I consider myself first and foremost, to coin a phrase, a teaching Minister. As such, I enjoy nothing more in this world than learning. Next comes helping people - something I have been able to do in my more "mundane" capacity as a newspaper publisher.
I am stunned by the vastness of the information on this website! When I read the many essays and personal stories I become filled sense of community. I feel as though I have found a second home. For that, I deeply thank those who work so hard to keep this massive "village" alive and well.
Where To Buy: My book is available through Amazon.com. You can also explore my website and then if you like my approach - a kind of serious tongue-in-cheek - go to the publisher website for more books.
