 The second in the author's exploration of life through poetry, Apollo Weeps continues where its predecessor, Generational, leaves the reader. The two books are presented in a diary-like format with poetic entries assisting the reader in their journey through the author's teenage and post high school years. Emotions and experiences captured in the author's poetry range from happiness to sadness and everything in between. With the accompanying journal entries and bits of prose, Apollo Weeps is an amazing look into the deep struggle of one woman as she gains independence and find adulthood.
The Derry, NH native first published the book in 2003. Its predecessor, Generational, received second edition status earlier this year. Both books explore the author's journey as she progresses from teen to adult through the use of poems, diary entries, and prose.
Clements began studying Wicca and Paganism in 1996 at the age of 13. Consequently, the subject matter of both books espouse Pagan themes, beliefs, thoughts, and ideals. Clements shares personal experiences concerning her faith, as well as the spell-casting process, through Apollo Weeps' many journal entries. Poems like "The Muse, " "The Moon, " and "Breathe" further explore the author's personal relationship with her faith.
