 Pagans are not immune to addiction, alcoholism or compulsive behaviors. But sadly, the most effective program we know, the Twelve Steps, are deeply rooted in Christian thought, making their adoption quite difficult for the average Pagan. With Christian prayers being said at many meetings, with the Twelve Steps speaking of a singular, male God, the typical Pagan can feel quite uncomfortable. The unfortunate result is that many Pagans give up on recovery, or try to white-knuckle it, or worse, never achieve sobriety.
The Pagan in Recovery: The Twelve Steps From a Pagan Perspective describes, in detail, a way for the average Pagan to approach the Twelve Steps, without compromising on their beliefs. Each step is fully described, and a simple ritual is provided for each step which is designed to provide the reader with an intuitive understanding of the step they are undertaking. Each of these rituals may be used as-is, or they may be modified as the reader sees fit.
The book is available as a soft-cover or as an e-book, and will soon be available in hard-cover.
