Lessons From The Seasons
As the autumn leaves fall, I am reminded of things I need to let go of, to make a better harvest of the spirit for next year.It is out with the old and in with the new.
Nature too, is about death, resurrection and rebirth. We all struggle threw this life, think we want things, only to find out after all it wasn't meant for us to have, new agenda, new desires, new beginnings..surface around this time of the year..as the trees put on the last show of fall colors, brilliance of color, the winds blow them to the ground to keep the grounds warm, knowing winter will be coming soon.
Winter is a time of reflection, as animals hibernate, so do we as humans kindle things in our hearts and memories in front of a fire on a cold winter's day.
Newness is coming, a new start, a clean slate as the snow glistens under the moonlight.Reflecting of things that once were and will be, reflecting on the warmth of the spark of love within our hearts.melting the ice of self-doubt.
We too become whiter than snow, new strength within our bones.Springtime comes and the wheel still turns, new buds grow from the trees as within our own hearts too.To lay down the old, feels so empowering. After all, when we look into the mirror, we see not only a physical reflection..on second look what others see within us.No one is responsible for our actions but us.
When we look into a mirror as a glass darkly, then face to face..sometimes peering back is what we could be.The flame still burns threw a long winter's night. Now is the time when there is perfect balance between the night and day.A new year, new beginnings.
As the leaves begin to turn I am reminded of the many colors, experiences, that my life has had the joy of knowing. Both good and bad.Now the trees are almost bare, the winds blow the leaves to the ground, to cover the new growth of grass beneath them with a blanket of protection.
The leaves beneath me remind me of times in my life I wanted to give up, Times in my life I became bold and followed threw, Times I cried, laughed, rejoiced in the simple things in life. The leaves that fall are the pages of my life.Maybe the end of a chapter, in due time new again budding forth new life as spring I know is on it's way. After the long cold winter; time a reflection, I reflect upon myself.
The ice turns cold promises un kept, holding them in still form until warmth of the sun comes once again.Life is truly about hope, love, pain, regret, being, knowing, wisdom, chance, birth, life, death, rebirth..It is within us it is within our surroundings..weaving lessons only noticed by some.
Lessons of going on, weathering the storm, understanding that the sad times are of a temporary nature, painful yet temporary none the less..they times fall from the tree in experience of lessons learned, become something good, the leaves (our hopes, fears, regrets and joys) Mix together to blanket the earth.Something new always arises if we wait if we believe if we have hope.
There are some trees evergreen, staying green year round, remind us..persevere :nothing ever really dies, nothing is ever really lost.I think we tend to loose sight of the fact.Life is about experience.Though pages of our life fall as the autumn leaves, we are wiser none the less, more equipped to battle life, better than the day before.Ready to live another day unshaken by the wind.
A new sagely boldness arises in me, as I look at the everlasting life of a simple ever green tree, see the magic the lessons that are whispered to me.If only to notice simple things, to see the new life of spring, the budding of the rose, that the autumn leaves kept warm in the winter of stillness. To bloom once again.
