M. R. Franks is presently a law professor in Louisiana. He formerly served as professeur associé de droit at l'Université de Cergy-Pontoise, Paris, France. A licensed airline transport pilot as well, Professor Franks holds his Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Memphis.
