The Cats
of WitchCraft

Yet, another Witchcraft myth dispelled!
Witches love their cats as well as all animals! We use this section of WitchVox to celebrate that fact.

End of an Era: We made the decision in Oct. of 2001 to stop accepting submissions for this section. Our point that Witch cats are safe and happy has been made hundreds of times over and we have amassed nearly 600 images that prove this claim conclusively. The Cats of Witchcraft continues to be popular and WILL stay up for your viewing pleasure.

Left: "WE ARE BAST. YOU WILL SERVICE US. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE." The dangers of having too many cats.
This was the first comic of my strip Earth, Air, Fire, & Mead to run in the Southern Illinois Pagan Alliance newsletter. It had it's origins in a conversation Darke and I had about him living in a big house full of cats someday. - Grey Grey's Den - http://witch.drak.net/grey

Center: I wanted to send a picture of my 2 cats and my hedgehog. All three of them are MY BABIES!!!!!(My mom calls them her grandkids...) I love them more than anything! Judas is the Tabby, Zeus is the Grey and White and Haley is the Hedgehog! I absolutely LOVE this entire site! I'm glad I found it! Thank You, Julie

Right: Hi all!  This is my cat, Kimmy -- fondly referred to as 'Kimbo' because she is my little Rambo cat. A few years ago we found out that she had sun cancer on her ears and nose. Her ears had to be removed, and sadly, the stuff on her nose had to stay. Although she is now stuck inside, she is a happy little cat and a smart cookie when it comes to magick. Thank you, Jessica Shealor

Left: Ok, Vatigan is the black and white fluffy little boy kitty in the very back, he enjoys opening the drawer of my altar and he's 1.  The other  black and white kitty is Oreo and he is 8 and is Vitamin's father, he enjoys sitting on laps, eating candles (we try not to encourage that  to much) and showing off his trick (including his sit and shake).  Twinkie is the boy next to him (Oreo and Twinkie are twin boys, so obviously he is 8 too), who enjoys sleeping on my bed, laying on my altar and playing with all my tools. Last but not least is Smogen (pronounced Smu-Jen), and she enjoys laying in the sun soaking up all the attention she can get (she's a little spoiled rich brat...but the cutest little thing) and she's 2. Oh and Vatigan and Smogen are half brother and sister because their dear mother died from an enlarged heart on Smogens birthday, a few months after Vatigans birth. - Bre

Right:
This is me with Lauren, circa 1989. She sadly disappeared in Winter 1993...may she find happiness in her new earthly home...or rest in the arms of the Goddess - Peg

Left: My name is Lovella and I have been a practicing witch for 2.5 years. I want to tell you that your site has been a wonderful source of info for me! For this picture: I have dogs, birds and an iguana as well as these 5 cats and one other who is not pictured. I have worked in animal care for over ten years (wildlife rehab, veterinary technician and professional pet sitter for medically challenged pets) and all of these 'babies' are rescues who came to me along the way! Left to right: Squint "Murrrp" Eastwood; Mel GimPson; Lovella holding Mr. Zeus; Romeo and Toby-o.

Right:
This is Toby...my eldest, 'firstborn' and my familiar. The king of my cats, Toby is part siamese and enjoys lounging on my shoulder whenever he gets the chance! - Lovella

Above: This is Maggie, my five-year old sweety. As with many cats, she has different personalities. Her two main ones are curious and relaxed. When I first began my studies of Wicca several years ago, she always sat with me while I read. I found her presence to be incredibly encouraging and fascinating. We live in NYC where Maggie watches pigeons, naps, plays with strings, is secretly fed table scraps from my boyfriend (they think I am not watching) and sometimes gets a little too close to my candles. Like I said, she's curious! ;-) Amber

Left and Center: The first cat is Tate. He died 5 days ago so this is kind of a dedication to him. The second is my siamese cat, Cleo, on Halloween. Blessed be, Damion

Right: Blessed be... attached is a jpg of me and my baby, Mischief. He loves to sleep under my altar! I very much enjoy browsing through all the wonderful images of magickal kitties. thank you for posting them. - Hazel SilverMoon http://www.users.drak.net/SilverMoon
