The Cats
of WitchCraft

Yet, another Witchcraft myth dispelled!
Witches love their cats as well as all animals! We use this section of WitchVox to celebrate that fact.

End of an Era: We made the decision in Oct. of 2001 to stop accepting submissions for this section. Our point that Witch cats are safe and happy has been made hundreds of times over and we have amassed nearly 600 images that prove this claim conclusively. The Cats of Witchcraft continues to be popular and WILL stay up for your viewing pleasure.

Center: 'Sebastian, who has walked the path with me (more often leading the way!) for EIGHTEEN glorious years. He is a constant source of Light in my life; and handsome and proud to boot!

'I have some sad news to impart. Sebastian slipped peacefully away from me at midnight, exactly as the Equinox turned - he was that kind of spirit. He did not suffer, and I was with him, and two very good friends helped to give him a beautiful ceremony and celebration as we laid him to rest in my garden. I am not sad for him, but his absence is hard for me. 19 years is a long time, and he has been the only constant with me through that period. Now he has a beautiful spot outside the window here, so his spirit is not far away; though I already miss his claws.'

Left: Tyger, master of the house of Tinuviel. 'His attitude is obvious from the expression on his face: He believes he is a god and that the sun rises and sets on him. (I won't tell him otherwise; his feelings will be hurt and he will likely punish me by wrecking something valuable.) Underneath, he's a great, wise creature.'

Center: Marty, Tinuviel's 'weirdling.' He's afraid of absolutely everything and hides most of the time, constantly purring or giving a short, quiet 'peep.'

Right:
Solo, Tinuviel's personal familiar. 'The most social of my cats and the most helpful when people need a cuddle.'

Left: Oscar, the Glossiest Cat in the Galaxy ... and certainly in Sydney.

Center: Binky & Dusty, Queen and King of their household Lamia.

Right:
Pewter, a stray who found sanctuary with Matriarch.

Left: Annabelle Lee, a.k.a. Annie, now almost 13 years old. She would like to believe that she's part bird, and has been known to leap off of Sara Barron's porch after them. A resident of Sidney, Maine.

Center: Nimue, Swan's Goddess kitty. 'We went through so many goddess names, I was finally saying, "What are we going to 'name you' ..." Love and light on a white, magical kitty in the garden shade.'

Right:
Max -- he was thirsty! Raven Morgana has had him for about a year.

Left: Garfield, a yellow tabby kept by the son of Leanan Sidhe.

Center: Itty Bitty, Leanan's familiar.. She's a bottlefed kitty, and looks only six months old, even though she's about 4 years.

Right: Tribble, Garfield's brother. He got his name because he trills just like the little creatures on Star Trek.

Left: Cover Kitties taking care of Darin James, Leanan's grandson.

Center: Kenya, one of Shooting Star's familiars.

Right: Sox, Shooting Star's other familiar.
