Yet, another Witchcraft myth dispelled!
Witches love their cats as well as all animals! We use this section of WitchVox to celebrate that fact.

End of an Era: We made the decision in Oct. of 2001 to stop accepting submissions for this section. Our point that Witch cats are safe and happy has been made hundreds of times over and we have amassed nearly 600 images that prove this claim conclusively. The Cats of Witchcraft continues to be popular and WILL stay up for your viewing pleasure.

I'm sending you three pictures of the cats that are mine and my husband's. The pics are titled Maus (left), Hemingway (center) and Bandit and Raven (right). Maus is our youngest, he was born on 30 March, 8 hrs after his brother CPT Cat was born, and truly it's magick that he is alive because the middle brother was born dead. Bandit is our oldest cat; I found him through an ad in the classifieds when he was just a little kitten and had him since '97. (He is the black one with the white paws in the Bandit and Raven picture). Hemingway, the gray kitty, is Bandit's son (we were cat sitting a gray kitty, Luna, who was supposedly spayed but apparently wasn't....). Raven (the tabby) is my husband's cat. She was born behind the cab company he works and chose him in June of '99. She has striking green eyes and is truly beautiful. Raven and Hemingway are Maus's parents. Trust me, I support spaying and neutering after having had one unexpected litter and this most recent one and ALL out cats are spayed/neutered now!!!

Last week Saturday we found these two little kittens in the wooded part of our property. Their mother was a stray cat and she had 3 kittens. For weeks we saw them off and on roaming the property in search of food, and of course, we put food and water out for them. The last 2 weeks we did not see them anymore, and then, last Saturday we found first the one kitten (Lucky, she is black with white feet) and about an hour later the other one (Salem or also called Fluff ball, who is chocolate brown with white feet and a white tail tip). There was no sight of the mother cat or the 3rd kitten. We fear that they might have fallen prey to a Raccoon or a bird of pry.

We took the 2 little wee ones, which are about 5 to 6 weeks old, in and fed them kitten milk and kitten food. Boy, did they eat. The term, skin and bones does not do these two justice. They where so thin, they could hardly stand up. But now they are much better. At this point they sleep in our bedroom and at 2 nights ago they started playing and washing themselves. Which is a good sign. Last night "Salem" and "Lucky" started the game "catch the toes" and we laugh, because now we know they are going to be ok. They still have to get used to our other 7 cats (all of which we found, being handed to or otherwise come across) and the dog. But one step at the time. For now, we thank the gracious Goddess every day for allowing us to take care of these two little "kids".

Left: His name is fuzzball. He followed me from the store when he was a kitten and walked right into my apt. and then my kitchen. He talks alot and absolutely loves to catch lizards! he spends most of his time pouncing in my garden, and laying out in the sun. Center: Jasper has been with me for two years now. He was born on April 18, 1998. He is a Siamese/Himalayan mix who is very playful and loveable. He has the most unique personality of any feline friend that I have ever had. One of his favorite things is spinning in my office chair! He is truly my best friend.

Right: Hi my name is Betina (MagickCharm3) This is a picture of one of my many cats. Inky has been with me since 1993 when he was born, and his mother died, so I and my grandmother raised him. He loves outdoors, unfortunately he can no longer go out do to his illness. He is truly a witches' cat, an my BABY forever.

Left: Frosty is the flying carpet caretaker here at the Evensong abode. She keeps them in working order.

Center: Hi, I'm Ashley. I've been a witch for a few years now and decided to send in a picture of my magical companion, Magic.

Right: Here is a picture of my little precious, Aldebaran (Aldie for short or Kissputten when he's in a snuggly mood). He is 2 months old in this picture. My aunt found his litter in her back yard one day and he chose to come live with me. He enjoys sleeping on my hair, eating my quarter candles, singeing his tail on burning incense, and reclaiming my wand for his own personal use. He's now 4 1/2 months old and already an adept at ecstatic dance (*grin*). -Gwynhyver

Left: This is Midnight. He was an old soul who protected and cared for his human family well. He passed into Summerland in September of 1992. He is still and will always be missed greatly.

Center: I am EarthMyst, and I have been Wiccan all my life. I have just recently been called to follow my path, and finally the world is making some sense for me. This is my beautiful kitty Merlin. He has been with me for 10 years.

Right: This is my cat Salem. He's been with me a little over a year now. I got him from the Animal Shelter as a thank you to the lovely Lady Bast for watching over me. I know I made the right choice, and I couldn't wish for a better companion.

Left: One of the characters in my Online comic strip called "Clan of the Cats" is a cat named Sebastian and he is actually the most popular character. He belongs to a witch named Ruth Chattan, the grandmother of Chelsea Chattan who is the heroine of the strip. I completely understand if you cannot include Sebo, (that's his nickname), in your "Cats of Witchcraft" Pages and I will not be offended. I have always strived to present Witchcraft in a positive light in COTC and will continue to do so no matter what. I have been a great admirer of your site for over a year and I must say that it is absolutely the best web site on witchcraft I have encountered. Jamie

Right: I'm a Wiccan who lives in Nashville, TN. The picture is of my cat, Stormy. I think it's great that you post pictures of our cats!

Left: My name is Rachel and I live in California. One day about a week ago my male cat Salem laid on my bed, on his and my favorite blanket. He is attached to this blanket for some reason. When he was sick, and we still don't know what is wrong with him, you couldn't pull him away from this blanket. You still can't. Every day around 3PM he can be caught on his blanket. He is definitely part of the family, and we would do any thing for him.

Center: This is a Picture of my lil' babie "Zoe'" aka "Miss Independent". She was sent to me just a few weeks after my other love "Saylym" passed to Summerland. Zoe' is truly a blessing. She has helped me threw a lot of things just by looking at me with her glowing greenish/yellow eyes or rubbing on my leg. She is very "spooky" and can get anywhere without making any sounds! So you can never find her. (I think her best/worst feature is ignoring you when you yell for her! but get out of her way when you rattle the food bag!) She truly is my lil' Halloween Cat...

Right: I was born on 9-9-1999 and later found myself in a shelter. A witchy woman named Madelyn came in to visit kitties over Thanksgiving, and I immediately chose her for a roommate - it just took some smooth talking for her to take me home! My name is Bela Lugosi, which she gave to me because I love to nibble on her ears at night. This photo was taken around Winter Solstice '99 (I'm much more manly now). Madelyn claims to be a plain ol' Pagan, but I strictly follow the magick of the Fey. I don't know why she can't see them, seeing as they chase me around the house all day!
