Bridfest

February 15-18, 2001 (Saint Petersburg, Florida) Review by Mari
Bridfest was a fun filled spiritual Festival, this is the second year for this festival and they keep getting better. The Pagan Cafe, run by Todd and Dawn of Flesh Under Metal, had wonderful breakfast and lunch food at reasonable prices. Brigit's Hearth Too was the nighttime coffee shop and they had a great drink called Dark Goddess. All the local people raved about it and said that they never miss a Friday night at the Metaphysical coffee night at Brigit Books which is located in Saint Petersburg on 4th Street and 11th Avenue.
The Synergy Circle and friends staff was most helpful and made everyone feel so welcome. All who were on the meal plan said the food was well prepared and filling! The showers were hot and welcome after a long day of playing and workshop, all of the building were clean and a pleasant place to listen to guest speakers. The Pole barn and Osprey's Roost were our favorite places for healing circles. There were over a hundred and fifty people relaxing, attending workshops, and healing circles. The rituals were really something different they included an inspiring Ecstatic opening Ritual by Iron Oak, the Chocolate Ritual by Dragonstar, and the breath taking main ritual by Helen and Kodi of Brigit Books, their Synergy Circle Covenmates and friends, with the rich gift of the harp interludes by the amazing DeLuna.
Ann Moura, Trish Telesco, Faerie Elaine, Roger Coleman, Barbara Graham of Reclaiming Gainesville, and all the other community presenters offered workshops that were excellent and well attended. The evening concerts by Eagle Light, Deluna, and Faerie Elaine was wonderful. They were full of the spirit of healing and worship. Bardic Circle and Story time lead by Boom Boom and Kevin were so much fun and what a group of talented storytellers and singers. The Drumming workshop and Circles lead by Sean, Seaweed, and Umoja were inspiring, we were all dancing till the wee hours of dawn. I look forward to attending Synergy Circles fall festival called Fall Into Rhythm which they say will be held in October and once again their Spring Festival, Bridfest, which will be held in February!
