Website Profile: The Pagan Federation/Fédération Païenne Canada (PFPC) is a federally incorporated association of Pagans. Our purpose is to promote and protect the reputation of Pagans and Paganism in Canada.
We do this through:
1. Public education so our fellow Canadians know what we do (and what we DON'T do!)
2. Networking among Pagans in Canada so we get to know each other and therefore are able to help each other.
What are our basic principles?
Our religious ideas are diverse. The Pagan movement has no universal tenets and no central authority. We require our members to agree only to follow these broad principles:
1. Love for and kinship with Nature.
2. If it harms none, do what you will.
3. If gender is attributed to any aspect of the Divine, both the feminine and the masculine are acknowledged.
Item 2 is a specifically Wiccan precept, but is widely accepted within the broader Pagan movement, which emphasizes personal responsibility and rejects unquestioning acceptance of authority.
Item 3 recognizes a widespread characteristic of modern Paganism — the recognition of the Goddess.
Our web site is a powerful resource tool - covering all aspects of Paganism in Canada, our legal rights, articles, listings of important events occurring across this great land.
