Website Profile: Fear. The first reaction we have at the moment of birth is to scream out in fear. It is our initial reaction to the threats in our environment. Primitive people learned the meaning of this feeling early, and quickly. Thrust into a world of hunger, harsh weather, wild animals, disease and natural disasters. It was a constant struggle for survival. To give in to fear meant death.
In order to protect themselves against the dangers of the environment and bolster their courage, they decided to enlist the aid of a formidable ally: the powers of nature. the Sun, moon, wind, sea and earth and the planets possessed real, tangible powers which could be tapped through ritual and worship. Symbols representing these forces and their powers were among the first artistic efforts of primitive people. This belief in the supernatural powers of the gods and their symbols became known as faith, the most potent weapon against fear. These symbols could be in the form of drawings or painting on what would be an amulet or talisman to be carried or worn by the creator of the piece.
Many of these amulets which we have in our inventory carry symbols which have been historically used over hundreds and even thousands of years. The historical use of these symbols over time lends even more power to their ability, even if the user is not versed in their application.
Our museum store also carries a multitude of statuary and other artwork from Greek and Roman, Egyptian, Pre-Columbian and Norse pantheons and even an Ancient Goddesses section.
Our Goth & Macabre and Vampire and Lycans (werewolves) sections also are amassing a great amount of items specifically oriented to those of the dark persuasion.
We even have a steampunk page, where the discerning Victorian can peruse items by gaslight in the comfort of their own library.
We are working to amass one of the greatest collections of ritual items, spiritual products, statuary from different pantheons, amulets and talismans, gothic and macabre items, cauldrons, wands, chalices, besoms, mortar and pestles, products related to Vampires and Lycans and even Steampunk attire.
We may operate out of a spinning hut on chicken legs, but we are dedicated to fulfilling your spiritual and ritual needs! If we don't have what you need, just ask and we'll do our best to get it!
(And no, we don't take children for payment)
