Website Profile: Black Gryphon provides an educational and recreational retreat in a natural setting for the purpose of cultural and spiritual education. Black Gryphon can host many major festivals and events. It is located in beautiful Bedford, Kentucky, located on 20 acres of picturesque open land and over 75 acres of untouched woodlands with ample space for secluded camping. Black Gryphon's land can accommodate up to 500 people with the use of the Great Hall that can be used for any special occasion, such as Meetings, Parties, Weddings, Faires, Gatherings and much more. Black Gryphon is within an hour's drive to many metropolitan areas.
Black Gryphon hosts many events throughout the year, also celebrating the turning of the seasons with the 8 Sabbats. Black Gryphon has hosted anything from SCA, LARP groups, Weddings and Receptions, Renaissance Faires, Re-Enactments, Pow - Wows, Pagan Events, Festivals and much more. The Black Gryphon has many amenities to suit most needs, such as The Great Hall, a 30 x 90 building which is large enough to accommodate up to 120 people. With a full service kitchen, hot water, flushable toilets in a fully equipped washroom complete for the Lords and the Ladies, a large hearth to add to the ambiance and for heat if you have an event during the winter months, eight ceiling fans to stay cool in the summer months, 12 foot tables available for parties or large events and plenty of lighting inside and outside of the Great Hall . Black Gryphon also offers many established campsites with fire pits, in a park like setting, with over an acre of orchards with various types of fruit trees, nature hiking trails and of course ample parking.
