Website Profile: Sierra Black is a Witch working in the Reclaiming and Feri Traditions of Witchcraft. Her practice focuses on personal growth and political activism in the context of a feminist, earth-centered spiritual path. She has been practicing for 15 years, and has worked with numerous teachers including Thorn Coyle and the Diana’s Grove Mystery School. Sierra’s poetry, personal essays and feature articles have been widely published. She has performed with Saul Williams and at the Poetry Slam Nationals, and has been a featured poet at the Stone Soup Poets, the Amazon Poetry Slam and other Boston area venues. Sierra has also worked as a features reporter for the Pulitzer-Prize winning Eagle-Tribune newspaper. Her articles have appeared in Bitch Magazine, Spare Change News and numerous local and regional publications. She holds an M.F.A in Creative Writing from Emerson College.
Sierra has been reading Tarot for over a decade. Her Tarot readings combine careful scholarship in traditional Tarot systems with an array of tools drawn from her background in Witchcraft. She is a member of the American Tarot Association. She offers readings in person, over the phone, via live chat and through e-mail.
Sierra offers public rituals to celebrate the Sabbats and New Moons with her local Reclaiming community near Boston, Mass. She is also available to officiate weddings, baby welcomings and other personal rites of passage.
Sierra lives in the Boston area with her family.
