My passion and life's work through individual healing and counseling sessions, teaching and writing is helping people to heal and become whole. Physical, mental, emotional, spiriutal, and energetic issues and illness can be transformed through the Spirit and soul-self connecting techniques of Visualization, Self-hypnosis, Reiki, Energy Healing, Meditation, Shamanic Journeying, and a unique form of psychotherapy called the Psyche Inventory. I personally have been blessed with a full recovery from CFIDS and Fibromyalgia using these techniques and am now in service to help others do the same. I am a Shamanic Practitioner employing the age-old art of "flying in dreamtime" to the Spirits and to otherworlds to access energy and wisdom for healing, growth, understanding, enlightenment, and transcendence. I honor the Spirit that moves in all things.
I facilitate trainings and have authored 4 books with another in progress. Seeing in the Dark: Claim Your Own Shamanic Power Now and in the Coming Age (Red Wheel Weiser) , Inner Power: Six Techniques for Increased Energy and Self-Healing (Llewellyn) and Energy For Life: Connect with the Source (Llewellyn) . I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, Reiki Master, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Certified Alternative Healing Consultant, and Shamanic Practitioner. I have a Masters degree from Michigan State University and own a private practice in counseling and shamanic healing.
I am a graduate of the two year intensive Shamanic Teacher Training Program taught by Sandra Ingerman, and the Foundation for Shamanic Studies' Three Year Program in Advanced Shamanism and Shamanic Healing taught by Michael Harner and Sandra Ingerman. I have also trained with Myron Eshowsky, Tom Cowan, Larry Peters, Nan Moss, David Corbin, Patrick Jasper Lee, Betsy Bergstrom, and others.
