Website Profile: "Aiya" - Welcome to www.elvenspirituality.com, Tië eldaliéva, the Elven Path! , We are in the process of creating a spiritual path based upon the inherent wisdom and worldview of the Elves, and in particular of the "Quendi" or the Elves described in JRR Tolkien's collective Arda or Middle Earth writings, also known as the Legendarium. We are doing so because we believe that we can learn from the wisdom in the stories to apply to not only our spiritual practices, but also our day-to-day lives.
During this process, not only have we noticed people drawn to this path that believe that they have had ancestral memories, or past lifetimes as Tolkienist Elves, but there is also an exploration in process of the very real possibility of Elven genetics or biology (and that comes from the emerging idea from our research that Elves and Men may have the same origins, and therefore be more similar than different) . We are also exploring the possibility that Professor Tolkien's Legendarium is indeed an expert re-telling of a valid mytho-history, due to his phenomenal linguistic ability. We are even finding legitimate connections between the Legendarium, other mythologies/origin stories, and our existence today.
Tië eldaliéva, meaning the (spiritual) Path of the Star-People, or Elves, was birthed/created on August 23, 2005 and though it is not easy, it is becoming a most beautiful spiritual path based on mostly the Elven or Quendi portions of Tolkien's Middle-Earth writings. A manuscript is well under way for publication.
Although we welcome Pagans, Druids and Wiccans, or in fact ANY other religious or spiritual background, who wish to keep their traditions or practice mostly intact and just adopt elements of Tolkien's Legendarium to enrich their spiritual practice, our emphasis is INSTEAD to get as close to the deep nature connection and spirituality that was practiced by the Quendi in these ages or lifetimes - and in some cases, connect with our Quendi ancestry or heritage.
Think of it as a VERY alternative spiritual path - it isn't "recon" but rather a continuing construction in which the foundation is a most excellent mythology that includes heavy leanings toward the Celtic and Teutonic origins - and yet applies to the world!
