In an effort to meet the needs of clients who wish to study shamanism but cannot do so in-person, I have developed the Tribe of the Modern Mystic Distance Mystery School. This home study curriculum combined with mentorship allows you to determine the role of your gifts in your life, how to manifest them, and how to move forward as a community leader and responsible caretaker of the Multiverse. Mystery isn't just about not knowing; it's about not having to know. It's about grasping enough of a truth to know there's more that will come to expand your awareness.
General Info
Prior to beginning a course, I ask each student to write an entrance essay including but not limited to requirements I send you. This personal essay is to give me an understanding of your goals, your experience, and skills. It helps me understand the level of mentoring sought in addition to class, and gives me a foundation to draw in making suggestions to help you stay on track with your goals through the course. Expect that we will remain in touch outside each class, in addition to discussing homework and feedback.
Please be prepared to communicate your progress openly. It is this rapport that you seek as much as instruction, to begin creating your network of support on your shamanic path. Each course will have various essay requirements, and some will have more hands-on objectives about which you are expected to report, either in writing, audio or video journaling. There may be others working on the same course as yourself, with whom you can interact. You do not have to divulge anything you don’t want to, but sharing your information and insight often helps others. Moreover, speaking your truth empowers your truth.
Introductory classes are self-paced and solo-based, meaning assignments and feedback are only seen by Kelley and individual students. There are public boards to discuss topics with other students taking your course. Introductory classes can be begun and completed at any time, though no more quickly than 4-6 weeks is a suggested interval for completion.
Intermediate courses and Advanced courses are on a set session with scheduled assignments to be turned in by a specific day each week. These courses are group-based, where students can interact with each other and will do journey work for each other. This format includes all experiential courses.
