Correllian Nativist Church International, Inc.

Category: Charity

Website Profile: The Correllian Nativist Church International, Inc. is one of the largest and fastest growing Wiccan, Pagan and Metaphysical churches in the world today with locations and members throughout the United States and in many locations around the world.

The Church is registered as a 501 (c) (3) church and public charity organized exclusively for one or more of the tax exempt purposes specified in Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Administration and operation of the Church and its subordinate organizations is governed by the Board of Directors in accordance with established policy and application law.

The Church provides worship services, clerical services, religious educational services, Initiatory clerical training and Ordination, community outreach, charitable services, and other activities deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors.

The Church provides a centrally organized legal framework and system through which its members and authorized Bodies are able to operate, worship, and practice Wiccan, Pagan, or Metaphysical spirituality. Within this central framework the Church exhibits a great flexibility and diversity of spiritual belief and practice.

The Church’s eclectic spiritual practices are derived from a broad range of sources including Wicca, European paganism, Spiritualism, Ceremonial Magick, and hermetic thought. The Church’s core structure and clerical training systems were developed over many years of work as an eclectic familial spiritual Tradition that was originally referred to as “Nativist” until 1979 when it became known as “Correllian Nativist Wicca”. Today the Church has expanded beyond its humble beginnings and represents a variety of complementary worship styles around the globe.

Ours is a religion of understanding and interacting with deity and the universe. It is a life-affirming path of growth and expansion. We revere the natural forces of the universe and see them reflected in the world around us, and in every person and thing. We hold a deep reverence for nature and her cycles and respect the earth and all of her creatures. We have a great reverence for deity, who for us has both a Mother and a Father aspect, and approach deity through many names and forms drawn from all over the world and from every age. We often compare deity to a diamond with many facets; each name or image for deity is like one facet on the diamond. Each facet may be considered separately and all are beautiful in themselves, but all are aspects of the single stone. In keeping with our Nativist philosophy, we believe that deity comes to each person in the way that is best understood by that person that there are many paths to establish a relationship with Deity. We believe that truly meaningful and empowering worship must come from the heart and should therefore be tailored to each individual or group’s culture, preferences, and unique style.

The leadership of the Church is comprised of a Board of Directors, the First Priesthood, the Witan Council, and the Council of Elders. International Programs have also been established to mange operations in select countries where the Church has a large membership base and where operational or administrative needs dictate. These bodies collectively oversee the administration and operation of the Church and establish Church policy.

The Church has several types of registered bodies to meet the needs of its global congregation. Temples and Shrines are the primary religious bodies of the Church for providing clerical, worship, educational, and outreach services to our Congregation and to the greater community. Church Orders are formal associations within the Church dedicated to a particular area of study or practice and are often called upon by the Church, our Temples, or the wider community to provide assistance or services in their areas of expertise. The New Aeon College and Seminary offers comprehensive Wiccan, Pagan, and Metaphysical Clerical training and Ordination programs delivered through independent, instructor guided, study and live training at our main campus in Albany, New York and other selected locations around the world.

There are several categories of members represented within our global congregation. Many of these members are affiliated with a particular Temple or Shrine while many other members are solitary practitioners due to geographic location, life circumstances, or personal preference. The Church strives to provide meaningful worship opportunities and comprehensive educational and support systems for all of its members regardless of these factors.

The Outer Court represents registered members of the Church who are not members of the Priesthood. The Outer Court constitutes the laity of the Church and the majority of our Congregation. Members of the Outer Court may participate in our training programs and most Church rituals, but are not eligible to receive clerical Initiation of Ordination from the Church. Some people who regularly attend our events or rituals or participate in our classes or activities may not wish to formally register with the Church. These individuals may still be considered members of the Congregation as Open Outer Court members. The Church, or its individual registered bodies, may also extend Honorary Outer Court membership status to friends, guests, dignitaries, or others whom they deem appropriate. These Honorary members may be treated as Outer Court members by the Church or the Church body granting the status.

The Inner Court represents the Clergy of the Church. There are four levels of Clergy within the Church ranks. The First Degree of Clergy is considered the apprenticeship grade, the Second Degree is considered the practitioner grade, and the Third Degree is considered the High Priesthood. An Ordained Minister level is reserved for occasions when the three-degree system may not be appropriate. Clerical status is attained through a progressive course of study that may be undertaken in a live classroom setting or through independent study. The Church may, after an Assessment of Prior Learning, recognize a candidate's existing training, life experience, or degree from another church or school in granting clerical standing within the Church. The Church may at times also grant advanced clerical standing to qualified individuals or distinguished friends-of-the-church on an honorary basis.

The Church has a strong moral and ethical foundation and all members are required to conduct themselves in a manner which is a credit to the Church and its members at all times. Tolerance for the beliefs, practices, and customs of other members and guests is a required at all times and no discrimination or harassment based upon gender, race, age, ethnicity, disability, marital status, sexual preference, gender expression, political affiliation, or religious affiliation will be tolerated. No illegal or harmful activities will be permitted or tolerated on Church premises or at Church sponsored events, activities, or gatherings. The Church strives to provide a safe, family-friendly, environment in which our members can worship, learn, and grow and to serve as a positive influence within our local communities and around the world.

The Correllian Nativist Church International is a growing, living, church. Our diverse global congregation works together under a common unified umbrella to meet the ever-changing spiritual needs of our members and to provide services and conduct charitable works within the communities in which we operate. We invite you to join with us to improve your own life and to work together with others to make the world a better place to live for the Greater Good of all.
