Website Profile: The AmericanPaganChurch.Org website is a place where anyone with an open mind and a kind heart who wishes to contribute, share and exchange experiences, feelings, and knowledge which are along pagan path.
The Divine is the energy which binds all things in all space in all time in all thought. The Divine is both masculine and feminine.
The complexity of the Divine is so immense it is incomprehensible in its totality, yet is simple in the infinitesimal. Our conduit to the Divine is visualization. It is not man who was made in a God's image, rather, in man's attempt to commune with the Divine, we visualize the Divine as man or woman. We communicate our hopes, desires, & appreciations with our divinity through visualizing the appropriate aspect of the Divine.
When we identify with each aspect of our life, we identify with that portion of the Divine's interaction with us. It is our belief that no man can dictate the sprituality of another man. It is each person's own connection to the Divine which determines his or her spirituality. We offer and recieve knowledge from each other and wish each person a bright journey. For example, when I think of the winter snows, the warm hearth, the comfort of family, along with the severe justice of winter, I think of the Goddess, Skadi. I can see her, feel her, and communicate with her. After all she is the goddess most identified with Yule. (She is the matroness of Scandinavia, land of Skadi, and she is who evolved into Santa Claus even after a millennium of Christian censorship.) When I think of home, wife and mother, I think of Freya. I can feel Freya at my side in comfort and Battling Beside me in times of conflict.
WE DO NOT BELIEVE IN MALE SUPREMACY. We believe in gender balance. The Divine is the Goddesses and the Gods combined.
