New Beginnings Pagan Recovery Meetings
"By the air of your sweet breath, speak to me of serenity
and by the fire of your bright spirit, share a spark of courage
By the waters of your womb, cleanse me in healing wisdom
and by the earth that is your body, empower my spirit in transformation."
This is the Serenity Prayer from “New Beginnings”, our Pagan-based Recovery Program. It’s a “meeting, Step, and Sponsor” Pagan-based Recovery fellowship, for those suffering from alcohol, substance or behavioral addictions.
* New Beginnings is a "Meeting, Step and Sponsor" Pagan-based recovery fellowship for those suffering from alcohol, substance or behavioral addictions.
* We are committed to crafting our own unique recovery as Pagans, pantheists and those who celebrate alternative religions and spiritualities.
* Our focus is on developing our personal program of recovery by attending meetings, finding a sponsor and working the steps.
* More importantly, we encourage those from diverse pagan paths and traditions to share their struggles and successes, through the prism of Paganism.
We invite you to visit our webpage, and read our Statement of Purpose, Eleven Steps, Eleven Group Guidelines, and our ever-growing FAQ list.
* All Pagan Recovery meetings are PRIVATE, to protect the anonymity of all participants.

An Open Letter to Dictionary.com: Religious Bia Against Pagans?
April 21, 2014:
“atheist” “infidel” “profane” “filthy” “foul” “obscene” “faithless” “godless”
We’ve all sat down to write a blog article or school assignment, right? What is one thing that you reach for - a dictionary or thesaurus. Using an online reference source is quick, easy, and painless - unless you happen to be Pagan or Wiccan, that is!
Dictionary.com has seven (7) negative stereotypes and over 114 thesaurus synonyms for Pagans. By contrast, the Christian definitions and synonyms are positively glowing. Of course, there are no working synonyms for Wiccan nor Wicca. (And don’t get us started on the synonyms for Heathen!)
As a result, the Wiccan Interfaith Council International has sent a letter of complaint to Dictionary.com, and their parent company IAC. We have also posted the letter and the entire contents of the Pagan and Christian references on our website for all to see. Visit our website to read about this visit to the Dark Ages, and then post your thoughts on our Facebook page.
* The WICI offers the publication of our journal, entitled, "Weaving Traditions: A Pagan Pathway to Worship".
It's now available to order for $12.50 (price includes shipping/handling) * through our website at:
* Membership is $15.00 per year and open to anyone who
wishes to build appreciation and awareness of Wicca.
