Website Profile: This is the website for Sacred Journey Fellowship: An Earth-Centered Unitarian Universalist Congregation.
We are a UU Church that focuses on an Earth-cented liturgy. While most of our members are Pagan and/or Wiccan - like all other UU churches we are non-creedal, meaning you don't have to hold specific beliefs to join our congregation. As Francis David said nearly 500 years ago, "We need not think alike, to love alike."
We have weekly Sunday services at 11am that are usually rituals, there are also Full Moon Services, Drum Jams, a Rune Study Group, Paganism 101 Classes, Pagan Page-Turners: A Bookclub and Excellence In Ritual classes (our ritualist training program) as well as religious education for children.
We also have an annual Congregational Patron that is chosen by our members each summer. For 2008-9 our Patron has been Athena.
We are also active in the local community. Sacred Journey is an institutional member of CUUPS (the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans) , NTAUUS (the North Texas Assoc. of Unitarian Universalist Societies) NTXPPD (North Texas Pagan Pride Day) and our members serve as the ushers for the Interfaith Winter SolstiCelebration held every year at Cathedral of Hope in Dallas (one of largest such events in the US) .
We have a lay chaplain who can conduct handfastings, Wiccanings and other ceremonies of passage - plus once a month we work with a Student Minister, Rebecca Crystal who doing a distance learning program with the UU Seminary in Chicago to become a UU minister.
