Project SeaWolf Coastal Protection

Category: Environmental

Website Profile: Attention: Pagans interested in putting their charitable contributions to work on REAL in-the-field projects where no dollars are re-directed to administrative or overhead costs - read on!
Project SeaWolf is a federally-registered 501c3, all-volunteer non-profit environmental group working exclusively on coastal ecosystem and wildlife protection in the Pacific Northwest - different from the other groups, we put 100% of our contributions directly into our field conservation campaigns!
Run by a Wiccan founder/volunteer director, SeaWolf was first established in 1997 to work toward obtaining federal 'endangered species' status for southern resident killer (orca) whales. It took ten years for that effort to succeed, and since that time, SeaWolf and her volunteer activists have co-produced 3 television documentaries about orca whale conservation (KING, KIRO and KOMO) , and is best known for leading the project to capture and relocate 'Springer', an orphaned orca whale calf, from Seattle waters back to her matrilineal pod in British Columbia.
Today, the group focuses on conducting marine mammal stranding and rescue patrols out of Everett/Marysville, WA, youth tree planting and riparian habitat restoration projects in Snohomish County, and youth educational expeditions, as well as selected advocacy campaigns related to ending global whale hunting and dolphin/whale protection efforts.
The group is 100% volunteer, and as a 501c3 organization, genuinely appreciates tax-deductible contributions from supporters around the world.
We dedicate 100% of every contribution directly to our field programs - NOT administrative overhead! We are the most active grassroots marine mammal protection organization in Snohomish County.
Send us a note if you decide to support us and we'll let you know precisely how we will use your contribution - BTW, we are always looking for donations of good quality scuba diving equipment, kayaking and expedition gear, and outdoor/technical clothing for our youth expedition programs!
