Verdamore was founded to meet a felt need. Throughout the past several years women have been discovering a nexus of spirituality, political activism, community-building, and a recognition of their heartfelt desire and innate abilities to build a world better than the one we live in. Women from all walks of life and all ethnicities and communities have been responding to the call. Whether we think of the source as "the Divine Feminine, " or view it as a new women's liberation movement, we are all discovering that the purpose is much more than any personal one.
Verdamore means "green love." We felt that our name had to convey the deep feelings we have for the Earth, for harmony and mutual cooperation, for a sustainable future.
Verdamore was created to enable us to bear witness to each others' power. In the visionary tale, The Song of an Emerald Dove, women were told to "wear my sign as a banner in the wind so that others will take your hand and join you."
We stand now at a precipice perhaps unlike any other in history. The visions to which we hold fast and the intentions upon which we focus, hold the power to manifest a transformation of our world as never before. Verd'amore seeks to aid this forward and upward impetus through creating unique and beautiful jewelry designs that reinforce and remind us of this awakening of vision, values and consciousness.
