Alder Wytche Tradition

Category: Courses

Website Profile: Mission Statement

The primary focus of the Alder Wytche Tradition is to provide free quality education for those who wish to learn the Craft. To do this, AWT will provide training for students and a training and certification process for instructors. The secondary goals of AWT include promoting tolerance and inclusiveness, and providing both fellowship and a supportive environment for Tradition members.

Philosophy

AWT is built on the premise that we are many and yet we are One ... that together we can accomplish much more and learn from one another, and yet each individual has the right to walk their own path and make their own decisions. AWT does not exist to dictate beliefs to anyone, but fosters respect for all paths.

The Alder Wytche Tradition itself is a path of Wicca, and our most important guideline is the Wiccan Rede. We are strongly committed to the Rede and to Wiccan belief and ethics, yet we know that wisdom can be found in all belief systems, and we encourage our members to learn all they can from any source available to them as they feel led to do so.

Our intent is to build a community on the premise of the Rede and perfect love and trust, and to stand for ethical interaction, to promote the philosophy of personal responsibility, to work toward balance, to appreciate the interconnectedness of life, and to seek harmony with the Divine.

Because of this philosophy, AWT is an eclectic tradition with room for a variety of beliefs and lifestyles. As a Teaching Tradition, we are built on both modern concepts and ancient beliefs, intent on teaching the basics of the "Old Craft" as it relates to today's world.

We began offering free classes on Wicca and fellowship in 2001. Striving to meet the needs of the online community after many requests for classes we offically came together and took the name of the Alder Wytche Tradition in 2004. For more information please check out our website or write me.

We offer both e-course and online classroom experience in Wicca 101, 202, and 303 along with other activities of togetherness online. All courses are free of charge and require dedication of purpose and hard work. Write or visit our website for more information.

On Friday, August 31st we'll be holding a Blue Moon ritual that is open to anyone. If you'd like to attend please contact either: NeldarAkatsuki or AlderAiyana. Hope to see you! Note you must be on aol or have aim or gmail set to chat to get into the online room. :)
