  The Story...
The Other Side is the long awaited debut CD written entirely by Ankha. The debut CD focuses on a spiritual experience with excellent meditative values. The CD will transport you into another world with its gentle melodies and peaceful grooves, yet it remains very vibrant in the different styles it draws from.
Songs like Akasha are peacefully melodic yet inspiringly upbeat, North Star and The Other Side are very new age with their blissful melodies and dreamy sensation. Whilst Ra and Androgyne contain distinct rock elements with a driving feel, however they remain very soothing and tranquil. All tracks contain uplifting grooves and an abundance of emotion.

The CD track list below shows the purpose of that particular piece of music, some are written to help produce a Trance state, others a form of Meditations or Visualization.
The invocation tracks have a large amount of energy and emotion in them making them ideal to build the spirit during an invocation.
The eleventh track is used to dissipate energy build up in any magickal working. Like music behind the end credits in a movie, it signifies the end and "Mote it Be". The show features many energetic tracks from the album, incorporating lights and visual effects to create a truly new age showcase of the album.

Technical Notes: I write mood music for movies
and for meditation as well as LOADS of dance music, my forte' being Trance.
ANkha uses a P.A.R.I.S. 3 system 48 tracks and Logic Audio along with her favorite synths
and modules, such as the Ensoniq TS 10, TS 12, M.R. Rack, Fizmo, Roland dance module
and the Access VIRUS B.
Artist Profile: The Ankh is symbol of eternal energy, which so easily applies to Ankha’s life.
The young Wiccan began her musical career at the age of six and played in her first group when she was thirteen. As a child she was a parents nightmare, as she would stay up the whole night practising and recording herself in her home studio. The green-eyed pixie has not changed since she was a child, in that she still devotes her life fully to her music.
All this aside, it is Ankha’s creativity that is her greatest asset. This latest project of hers has got to be the most creative and thought filled to date. Many months of late nights were given to “the Other Side” and if she wasn’t in the studio writing songs, she was out having coffee some-place, with headphones on, re-thinking the ones already written. It was impossible to tear her away from this album, and as its’ completion draws near, she still is happily working away at the mounting final touches.
As you listen and your soul learns, I hope you feel the same enjoyment and fulfilment I felt watching it all happen.
