  The Story...
Josh had worked on the music for the song for about a year off and on when inspiration stuck. At the time he wasn't officialy in Butterfly Messiah and this song helped to bring the band together. In March 2002 it was played in front of an audience as an experiement to the evolution of our sound and it was met with much dancing and enthusiasm. Soon after Shannon recorded vocals and this club hit was born.
It's Time has a haunting yet driving feel. It borders on Industrial Dance yet is melodic and ethereal. The lyrics are poetic, hopeful, inspiring, and maybe just a little sad.

Technical Notes: It's Time is an electronic song, recorded and mixed in our home studios here in Tampa, FL. 2002. This song appears on our recently released Single/EP "It's Time" courtesy of The Fossil Dungeon.

Butterfly Messiah is a symbolic expression of philosophy, art, politics, music and mysticism, all elemental in its voice. Butterfly Messiah is a metaphor for existence; a symbol of hope in our dark times.
Butterfly Messiah was formed in 1998 by Shannon Garson and Robert Davis. The duo began simply seeking to express elements of industrial, dance, medieval and synth pop in an effort to create music from the spirit, infused with meaning.
Butterfly Messiah moved their operation to Tampa in 2001, and chanced upon a third member, Josh Harrington. Shortly after the addition to the group, Butterfly Messiah headed to the studio to complete production of new and reworked material. Some of these tracks soon started popping up on a variety of compilation CDs, fostering an intense interest among synthpop, pagan, industrial and goth music fans worldwide. The buzz led to a deal with project label Fossil Dungeon in March 2002, and that Summer saw the release of their first full-length disc, "Priestess."
In November 2002 Butterfly Messiah released the band's latest Single/EP "It's Time," an intense mixture of synthetics and sirenic enchanting vocals.
Recent review of the Priestess album appears in the premier issue of New Witch magazine (the same people who publish Sage Woman and PanGaia), as follows. Also look for our interview in the current issue.
"Imagine a mixture of lush female vocals that soar to angelic heights and slink to earthy lows, mixed with intense, sometimes spoken, sometimes sung, lyrics and chants and you have an idea of the magic that is weaved by Butterfly Messiah. With complex lyrics that often contain multiple meanings and touch on issues of both spirit and society they entrance the listener on many levels. Butterfly Messiah has been gaining a large following lately with their unique combination of electronic beats, gothic atmosphere and ethereal bliss.
