Bardic Circle Featuring... |
(by Greg Boyles, Barbara Doyle, Patricia McIntosh)
Audience Count: 27,259
In short we were tired of the traditional sound that sounded like a death dirge. We wanted to spice it up. So we set out to give the pagan community something else that is a little different. There were many different arguments about this song and how we should do it. Pat wanted it to be short and choppy lyrics while Barb wanted it to be more flowy. They finally reached a compromise and Goddess chant was born. This is one of our more popular songs at shows and we will be preforming it live on http://www.modernpagan.tv this Tuesday April 17 at 7:00 pm MST. Our drummer Brandon didn't want to play this at the beginning. He couldn't seem to sync with it. Now its one of his favorite songs. So many of our Pagan chants and songs remind us of going to a funeral. In our opinion it should be a celebration of our faith. To many times around a camp fire when singing these songs people cant raise the energy that these chants deserve without bringing the speed and intensity up. So we have taken some of the old chants and favorite songs of the community in our area to spice up and hopefully they will be well received by the larger community.
