The Story...
 "Behold, There Is Magic All Around Us" was born in the early 1980s. I had just met my now-husband, Jeff "Magnus" McBride, and was visiting him in his studio apartment in Hell's Kitchen in New York City. He had gone out to pick up some food for us, and I was alone in his place... looking around, I saw magical items all around me, his magical tools, the tricks of his trade, and icons of spirit everywhere.
The phrase "Behold, magic all around, " jumped into my head, and I grabbed a pen and started writing. Thinking elementally, I reflected on all the ways that Spirit expresses, as air, wind, and breath; as fire, spark and flame; as water, pulse and ocean; as earth, heartbeat, ground; and as spirit, divinity, light....
I wove all these together into an invocation of magic which has spread around the world and is now used as an opening for circles from Pennsylvania to Las Vegas, in Holland, Australia, and Germany... maybe other places, too.
I offer this invocation to you, in perfect love and perfect trust. If it speaks to you, feel free to share it in your circles and with your friends. I hope you will enjoy it and the rest of my music, which you can find at the website below.
