 Tzigane Osgood ...
She Is A Cannon
(by Tzigane Osgood)

Audience Count: 6,154

The Story...
"She Is A Cannon" Is about our Mother Earth. I was deep in concentration on the subject of her when I wrote this song. I was thinking about the rain forests of South America, the deserts of Arizona, the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, the Okeefenokee Swamp of South Georgia, the Everglades of Florida and all the damage and desecration man has done to them. It kind of snowballed from these things to more than that. It went into the drugs we put into our bodies and the things we do. The song has a tribal beat and is very simple. However, the message behind all of that simplicity is very deep.
Some additional biographical info on me (Tzigane Osgood) :
Tzigane was born and raised just outside Atlanta, Georgia. She began playing musical instruments and singing at the age of 3 or 4. At age 12, Tzigane had been published for both poetry and art locally. By this time, she had also learned how to play four instruments and sang in school talent shows and of course at home. By the time Tzigane graduated from high school in 1999, she had been in several bands and had various positions in the bands. She continued to do music in bands on and off until early 2005. It wasn't until 2004 that Tzigane Osgood decided to work solo. Tzigane has quickly developed a reputation for unique and stimulating music that soothes the spirit.
If you were to ask Tzigane Osgood what drives her to persue music, you would hear this: "I create music for release. Music has always released so much emotion for me, and as much as I love listening to music, creating it is what keeps me together." Tzigane Osgood writes about many subjects. Her favorites are nature, abuse, depression, and death. She does do some love songs, as she knows that, too. However, love "comes out cheesy" she says. "Other people can write great love songs, but not me. I know more about the darker side...the destruction and reconstruction of the human spirit".
