Musn't Be
(words & music by Rob Crocker)Musn't be
In she walked Comes the pain Like the pouring of the summer rain
She's the one Who musn't be Of all the wolrd the one for me
I'm the song She cannot sing Though in the dark our voices ring
I'm the sword That makes her strong Though now she's naked and lays unarmed
[Bridge]
Quiet child Drift off the sleep We'll walk the forest of our deepest dream
If this is all Thats meant to be I'll smile in our only spring
I'll take you With silent eyes Imagine how you could be my prize
(But it) cannot come Our empty arms Hold only thoughts of eachothers charms

The Story...
I was inspired to write this song in the car on the way home from work. It had just rained a little and I had a key phrase rolling around in my head "comes the pain" so I started rhyming it. The first verse came out and so as soon as I was able to I started writing based on that.
The song just built on itself afterwards and tells the story of two people that cannot for whatever reason be together, the relationship doesn't work, or maybe they are in other relationships themselves, perhaps distance is an issue... it doesn't matter really, the song is just about wanting more, or wanting what you cannot have. It's a very simple chord progression with a simple melody.
This is supposed to be 200 words long, but I really don't have anything else to say about the song, so...
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
