Bardic Circle Featuring...

David Pendragon and Tribeworld Ensemble ...

Holy Wars
(by David Pendragon and Ben Mansfield)

Audience Count: 3,026

The Story...

I wrote the lyrics to this song on the evening of Sept 11, an awful day for ALL of our multiplex of humanity, diverse religions and races. It is not a song that is in anyway maligning folks of any belief systems that teach tolerance and understanding, I am however talking from my heart to those folks who spread fear, hatred and division as their message and then cloak it in a wrapping of "religious belief" The song is on a chart of Songs Of Our Times on Neil Youngs official site 'Living With War Today' As I write this its sitting at Number 86, it may have moved up or down by the time you play this. Would you mind taking that little bit of time to find it on the list and give it a play? I am so very proud to be able to present this song alongside so many other fine musicians from all around this planet as we join with one voice to say STOP THIS NOW! To all the folks who are in the armed forces, in any conflict, anywhere on our beautiful planet, please stay as safe as you can, return home, when you are able, to your families and loved ones. To the people in countries that can vote and speak freely, PLEASE do so and let your leaders know your thoughts with your votes and opinions to newspapers or radio To the leaders of the World, FIND ANOTHER WAY!! If all the children were to ask their teachers and elders and leaders WHY? would we have an answer?
