Witchvox Chapter: Pagan Music   Chapter Page Views: 3,141,317   Bardic Circle Featuring... Teresa Huddleston-Garcia ... Song of the Waters (by Teresa Huddleston-Garcia) Audience Count: 4,271 The Story... I often will sit down and find poetry or song lyrics flowing into my word program instead of what I had originally sat down. The story of this song begins earlier though. When my daughter was younger, she often had trouble sleeping, and so I would sing. In the end, I've composed several songs for her. Some I wrote down, others I didn't and have forgotten. My children and I rest securely in dragon's coils, and I've always had a special relationship with storms and water that my daughter shares. This song was a hybrid of one of the half finished and half forgotten lullabies for my daughter and some improvisation in a role playing game with a dear friend to help him sleep. For a while he asked for the lyrics often, so I would "sing" to him, something a little difficult to do through the chat window of one's instant messenger. For a while, the lyrics sat on a back burner as life continued on and my computer still wasn't recording correctly. I grew increasingly frustrated with not being able to convey the full experience for him. I like to sing and hum for those that are special to me, something that I've probably picked up from my mother. Recently, I took the leap, sat down, and fixed the problem. Artist Profile: I am primarily a novelist and poetess, but my poetry often has it's own beat that can easily translate into music. Many of my friends kept asking for me to record my poetry, and my songs. And so, Lady Rain StarDragon gathered up her courage. I'm keeping my ears open for someone that would like to do the background music, I have to admit the David Pendragon and his friends are quite inspirational with their members doing so much work over the internet.
