The Story...
This song is about the serpent and the soul. It is about majick and it's consequences. It is about the wonder of karma.
When I moved to Memphis recently a lot of things where happening and have happened since. The energy here is so thick that it is all but readily tangible at a tactile level. It has been interesting to say the least.
The south is a land rich in it's varied histories. Ghosts roam the streets with a sense of entitlement that is unusual. Spirits linger for aeons and grow to emmence proportion and power.
The energy is so stale that it could qualify as stoic and as a result the new sparks that emerge do so with a vengance. Pushing wildly in an effort to create change. Engulfing all that surrounds in a despirate attempt for survival.
It is no surprise to me that Memphis is hailed as the birth place of rock and roll. The energy of this town is amazingly fertile to one end, rebellion.
This is a song about my soul and the serpent of Memphis. This is a song about the consequential reality of a majickal life. This is a song about coming home.
This also is easily one of my favorites of the songs that I have written.
Love to you all, sede

Artist Profile: Sede is an independent artist who lives in Memphis, TN. His style is richly varied with everything from Americana to ethnic to quite hard rock. The main string that links his music is that almost every element will invariably be an acoustic instrumentation. This is a purposeful and practical aspect of his music that is implemented for reasons of portability. If there is no electricity, if there are no amplifiers, if anarchy reigns... Sede will play.
