The Story...
 The idea behind “Take the Path” is a common one: seize the day. Too often I set long term goals for myself, tasks to accomplish, things that need to be done before I can relax. And in getting to these goals, these check marks on a to-do list, I miss the moments, the process, the enjoyment of the path along the way.
This song was written to encourage anyone who is striving to be in the moment. It seems a simple thing that is rarely simple to do. To those who have mastered this ability, I give my respect, and a watchful eye to see what I can learn from you.
The story here is quiet. Come spend time with me, let me enjoy your company, and please enjoy mine. Let me learn something from you, let me teach you what I can. Let’s see if we can’t get something out of this moment, together.
When the next path, the next choice comes along, I want to follow it with passion. Not merely to accept that this is the next step, that life will take me where it will, but to be active, to engage, to want it. Take the path that comes your way and say “I want to stay” (stay on the path, don’t stay in the same place.) Grasp it in both hands and love every minute.
