This is a song about a spirit visitation that I had while spending the night in a nearly 100 year old building in Memphis, TN. I woke up to a young lady's voice whispering softly into my ear... "come to me my love". My first reaction was that my girl friend had snuck into the room to give me a pleasant surprise, this did not prove to be the case. The spirit was that of a young lady who apparently thought that I was her lover. After a bit of conversation it came out that the spirit knew very little of her reality except that she was in her home, that she missed her friend , and that her feet where bound. I did some work for her and by evening's end felt secure in the knowledge that she had been freed. Still, the most note worthy aspect of the entire experience was actually feeling her breath on my ear when she first spoke. About a month later I was looking through some old news paper clippings and found the building where the visitation had occurred mentioned in an old clipping from the 1930s. Apparently there had been a savage series of murders that had occurred in the basement of the building. Eight young women had been tied up, brutalized, and murdered there.
