The Story...

This was recorded when we opened for Zappa Plays Zappa at the Beacon Theatre in New York City in late 2011. Leading up to this event, we spent a lot of time listening to the music of Frank Zappa, and we really liked his unique way of playing a twelve-bar blues, so we decided that we'd open with a Zappa-esque twelve bar blues. Turned out, Dweezil loved it, as did his guest for the night, Steve Vai. Our most recent performance was on Terry Syrek's second metal album, "Machine Elves". The band's members are all Wiccan, and our music is primarily instrumental. The entire song is one long improvisation over a simple twelve bar blues. Our "writing" process simply involved picking a key and sticking with it. We've since added the song to our typical set list, which also includes various songs from an earlier album we reorded on with Terry Syrek called "AUM". We are currently in the process of recording our first studio album, called "Wytche's Brue" . We named the album after a certain classic Miles Davis album. This song is to be featured on the album. On behalf of all the members of , I would like to thank you for supporting us, and should you ever be in the New York area and want to see some good music, feel free to come check us out. Blessed be.
-Iolaan

Artist Profile: Wolfwind was founded in 2007 by myself, Iolaan Neave. Since that point, we have opened for such acts as Slash, Dweezil Zappa, Mountain, Black Label Society, and many more. Our sound is unique, and we play everything from Jazz to Metal. Many of us performed on the Terry Syrek album "AUM", and more recently, "Machine Elves". We recently completed a tour of Canada alongside Dave Martone. I am currently working on putting together a side project. If you are a competent musician and wish to audition, please contact me at the email address posted. Blessed Be.
