Mary L. Comerford Obituary by Dana Brown [1951 - 2002] Mary Comerford, Associate Pastor, and original member of the Board of Directors of The Sacred Well Congregation, duties which she held dear, passed to the Summerlands peacefully in her sleep early Sunday morning with her loved ones by her side. Mary died of metastatic breast cancer. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, High Priestess, coven leader, counselor, Reiki Master and Teacher, Tarot reader, herbalist, hypnotherapist and self proclaimed "Eclectic Fluff-Bunny Kitchen Witch", Mary lived a life of service to community and knew, with the whole of her being, the immense joy of laughter shared with those she loved and cared about. Her work touched the lives of so many and she rejoiced and celebrated all things human and marveled with the rest of us at the strength, beauty, and divine power of the human spirit. She created safe space for us to explore our own growth for those of us who had the privilege of knowing her and she loved the fellowship of camping ("with amenities!") with her large chosen family and magickal moments circling with community on many spiritual paths. She also never missed an opportunity to play with her grand-babies! Mary is a beautiful, loving Spirit who will truly be missed. 6/23/2002 Update: Mary's memorial was very well attended and beautifully delivered by Paul Kelly of the Tribe of Ancient Ways in New Braunfels, Texas on Friday September 20th. Over 50 people attended her Irish Wake at our home the same evening. Mary was an extraordinary teacher of Tarot and Reiki and was gifted in spirit by the attendance of many of her former students.
