White horse

He is the white horse
named Innocence
Formed from a cloud
he rides across
the sky
His hooves
kicking high
Galloping
to the north
while my plan
had been east
He is the white horse
gifted from a dream
His head clear quartz
carved into an amulet
a gift from a long ago love
A herald sent
instead of his own wild soul
A keepsake
as a peace make
for my battered heart
He was my companion
as I continued
He rides within
my every word
pushing his muzzle
into my being
searching
for the sugar
he knows I still hold
