Beltane

Dance ‘round the fires
Burn bright in the dead of night
Dance ‘round the Maypole
Tall wrapped in ribbons
Fluttering in the wind
Let your heart’s desires be heard
Hearts beat as one
As the drums sound their steady beat
The God and Goddess become one
Leap o’er fires high
Flames lick the night air
Dance in celebration
Faster and faster we spin
The tempo speeds with our dance
Louder and louder the music grows
Louder do we chant
Magick flows from our bodies
As we grow wilder
Night slips by
Fires still alight
Night gives way to dawn
Fires burn low
Music and chanting grow quiet
Dancing slows
As we welcome the arrival
Of the morning sun
