What Is?

What is this Hope
I never knew or wanted or needed
before I met You
that is what sustains me now?
What is this Life
This one chance we all have
To be all that we can be… again?
What is this Being
That shines like light
In every living thing?
(Less in some, in others bright)
What is this Death
That stalks us all
But also guides us from behind?
(Less in some, more in others)
What is this Trinity of Worldly Truths
When spoken with our tongues,
Thought with our breath,
Felt in our hearts...
Do not make a wish
Until you can do it In the Moment
Before a star falls to Earth
