The Mini-Van America

Age Group: Adult
If it’s a “Drivesafe” van you’re driving
Then why speed pass on the wrong side?
So it’s the pace of this “Good Life” you’re living
But is it for this that so many died?
If its “Fat-Free” food that you’re consuming
Then why do you look unhealthy?
So its still a Democracy, you’re presuming
But its looking a lot like rule by the wealthy.
If you really live in the “Home of the Brave”
Then why is everybody trembling?
So its “Anti-terrorism” – this present wave
But its cowardice that its resembling
If it’s a “Global Economy” you construct
Then why is most the world suffering?
So its “Christianity” you say that you instruct
Or is it yourself, from Love, you’re buffering?
If its “Organic Produce” you say we all should eat
Why can’t common folks afford it?
So its “Academia” huh? (another power by elite)
Why share knowledge when you can distort it?
If its all “Ozone Friendly” emissions and such
Why has the weather now so extreme?
Ya think stopping global warming costs too much
Is that why ya say Kyoto’s a pipedream?
If its “Holistic Thinking” can undo this mess
How is it everything, everyone is so divided?
So it will take a “transparent and open process”
Huh? Yeah, so long as you’re invited…
If it really is the “Land of the Free”
Why so much national insecurity?
You’re on a Faustian worldwide spending spree
But you’re being sold so much impurity.
