I am not a very good spiritual witch
Or at least, that’s what I’ve been told
I don’t follow the normal ritual hitch
I am too irreverent, and maybe too bold.
At my table: no wand, instead find a rose
I open circles with a whip or my finger
Often I forget - my sacred circles - to close
So the gods here are forced to just linger
In fact I am terribly casually wryle
About these - our sacred circles -
I don’t pay ‘nuf attention to mystic style
For me it’s all about the miracles
Were you to came over to one of our places
You’d find no walmart-witchy altars
But you’ll discover plenty of sacred spaces
‘midst old Wood and leather horse halters.
With goblets and candles I’m well equipped
For blessed time well-spent with the Goddess
No libation dish here, but wine spilt and sipped
Candles lit just to accent the feast’s wildness
Any witchy robe here will quickly get ditched
Replaced by deep Tantric breathing
I am told I am not an orthodox witch
so I strive, at least, to be a kind heathen.
I do my best to follow our Rede
I know the Truth of its three-times fine
I celebrate Sabbats, and I avoid greed
And follow the Virtues eight…I mean, Nine
But I will always worship the Goddess
In all Her faces - every mood, every figure
As for me, well, I would still just be godless
Were I not blessed to know, adore and dig Her.
