No, I have not sacrificed anything, yet
To prove my love for Her nor for You
Yes, I guess we live in impossible comfort
Warm, sheltered, protected, and overfed too.
Who here could have any unfulfilled need?
Here where we’re fattened right up to slaughter
Wanting any fate other would simply be greed
As dies the mother, so lives the daughter
But Daughter, look at the bright side of life
These men here they all treat us so well
We know not starvation nor predator strife
Our wild ancestors lived in a relative hell
Mother I no longer accept this humane fate
This false comfort which comes to such end
What sweet life exists beyond this farm gate?
What might we find in a gentle new friend?
These pastures here seem impossibly green
Inside this fence: security and our little stream
But pastures green lead to killing floors mean
So for all of yours and mine freedom I dream
I only want our Freedom.
