When moonlight falls on snow and my pillows
In the stillness of this dark night blue
Outside it glints off new pussy willows
Yet I face another spring without you
You never tried to help us understand
Before you cast me into the dark night so blue
No heart-parting, you just removed your hand
I faced that dark silent spring without you
As at the start, so it will be at end
Your moonlight leaves me alone and blue
The choices you make I can’t comprehend
So I face one more spring without you
Lost so I write in this moonlight you send
Its all I have left though its weak and blue
Though my love shines, I will be your dark friend
So I won’t face spring entirely without you
Shine on against our dark blue night my Love
Silhouette long black shadows in your glow
Though in darkness we dwell below as above
Moonlight brings new pussy willows their Halo
Author's Notes: I know... this doesn't flow so, isn't my best fersure. I started this one in mid March when the compelling full moon let itself into my bedroom univited. It was too sad-assed a poem to finish at the time. I found some reason to finish it on a brighter note today!
