I live in a harsh place
where hagstones abound
surrounded by green land
where black mystery is found
What makes a hagstone
is where rock is not there
A hagstone is part rock
A hagstone is part air
Nine parts are cold hardness
One part is still forgiving
Nine planets for the dead
One Earth for the Living
Ten thousand grey stones
for each one shining Mother
Ten thousand dull men
for each one spirit brother
Place a solid grey boulder
at the entrence of my tomb
But I'll seize Life once again
through a bright hagstone womb
