(Gods and Goddesses)

What are all the old Gods and Goddesses
If not high Ideals that we all can strive for?
Each Woman should seek out her Goddessness
Each Man be his own God of Love, Peace or War
For deity is just Life's great grand metaphor
Our highest goal in every Earthly endeavour
Deities push our human limits on ever more
And only Gods and Goddesses falter never
This is not to suggest the Gods aren't real,
that the Goddesses do not really exist
No, the real Goddess you should always feel
When you, a God, gently kisses Her wrist
Every culure named and knew its deities
To define its own high brand of perfections
The Ideal Good that its citizens might seize
Like old signposts to show them directions
It matters not what Gods' intention you follow
Men, so long as your true actions are good
Just know all choices will leave you so hollow
If not balanced by the right Goddess' womanhood
So hear me now girls (if I may call you that: )
Seek out the Goddess that is inside you all
Just don't treat your God like a mouse does a cat
So then well-balanced you will surely never fall.
