Okay, okay… I must here confess
I am the scoundrel your poem exposes
But I love you all – some more, some less
So here -- let me send you all some roses
For you my secret spirit daughter
Love's white roses for pride and purity
Charmed, I dance you on black water
I bow reverently to you in humility
For Jennifer, glad moonlit friend
I will always be your northern fellow
I hope our joyful banter does not end
My care for you expressed in roses yellow
Deep pink the roses for you Elaine
I so value our Pact toward happiness
May our distant friendship never wane
You shine always a graceful goddess
Susan, for you, one single rose,
To let you know that I still love you...
But is that desire’s coral colour I chose?
Or black to say I finally rose above you?
One dozen roses chosen -- none with thorn
In deep passion-red and soul love white
a bouquet for you my beloved Lithorn –
may our bright union triumpth over night
